Mugisha Moise (Fly Cycling Club) clinched his first-ever win at Rwanda Cycling Cup series with a remarkable display of power inside the final 20-lap circuit.

Being part of a reduced break, the 21-year old rider attacked with three laps to go and was able to hold off a chasing group by more than two minutes.

Gasore Hategeka finished second ahead on Manizabayo Eric.

Ingabire Diane (Benediction Cycling Club) claimed the women’s race victory with Byiza Uhiriwe Renus taking the junior men’s category.

The 2018 Rwanda Cycling Cup race series will resume on November 10 with Central Challenge which will start in Kigali and finish in Muhanga via Musanze.

Kivu Race is the sixth race of Rwanda Cycling cup series. The series are run by Rwanda Cycling Federation and sponsored by Skol Brewery Ltd.
