SKOL Lager unveils new look and an exciting new campaign emphasising the African heritage of the brand.

SKOL Brewery Ltd has introduced a new pack design for SKOL Lager, giving the brand a modern look and feel while paying homage to its African heritage dating back to 1965.

The new SKOL Lager bottle is being rolled out across the country together with a new campaign that will debut today on TV, radio and outdoor billboards. This new campaign celebrates how people across Africa connect through their culture, music, art, dance, fashion and above all lifestyles. The SKOL Lager beer sets a warm tone towards this culture and has been part of it since 1965. The TV commercial celebrates this achievement with a new look on the product.

During a special SKOL Lager night organized this Saturday at Konvine Boutique Hotel, guests were previewed the new TV commercial while enjoying a cold SKOL Lager and entertainment by popular live band Shauku.

SKOL Senior Brand Manager, Marie-Paule Niwemfura, commented: “SKOL Lager is a true Pan-African beer. It has been brewed on the African continent across different countries since 1965 and it is not always known. By reminding people of SKOL Lager rich history, we aim to bring new consumers into the category and reignite this amazing beer. She added: “With SKOL Lager, consumers can expect an easy to drink full strength Lager beer at 5.1% abv. In its 330 ml format, it is also the most affordable beer on the market priced at a recommended retail price of RWF 500.”

A final surprise came in during the night with a birthday cake that celebrated 13 years of SKOL brewery Ltd. operations in Rwanda.

SKOL Lager is available in a 330ml format at a recommended retail price of RWF 500. It is also available in a 500ml format at RWF 800 as well as a 500ml can format at RWF 1,700.
